Hello! I am a graduate student of astrophysics at the Flatiron Institute/Columbia Astronomy, interested in computational study of galaxy evolution and dynamics. Prior to moving to New York City, I conducted graduate research at Caltech on theoretical planet formation and stellar astrophysics.
I was born and brought up in northern India, where I underwent my grade-school and college education. Inspired by the feats of Indian astronaut Kalpana Chawla, I developed a fascination for all things outer-space early in my childhood, which eventually led me to pursue an academic route in astronomy.
Outside of research, I like spending my leisure time reading plays, Latin dancing, relishing theatre/live music, learning world history, and indulging in culinary pursuits with my husband. I also love to travel and enjoy the occasional adrenaline rush from adventure sports.
